Overview
The ISO 45001 OHSMS Lead Auditor course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct audits of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) against the ISO 45001 standard. The course covers the principles, requirements, and best practices of auditing, as well as the specific requirements of ISO 45001. Participants will learn how to plan, conduct, and report on an audit, as well as how to identify and address non-conformities.

- Develop a report on the audit findings, including recommendations for improvement.
- Apply auditing techniques and tools to ensure a comprehensive and effective audit.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the OHSMS and provide recommendations for corrective action.

Day 1: Introduction to ISO 45001 and Auditing

- Introduction To Auditing Tools and Techniques.
Day 2: Planning and Conducting an Audit
- Planning an audit: identifying scope, objectives, and timelines.
- Conducting an audit: preparing for the audit, conducting interviews and observations, and reporting on findings.
- Identifying non-conformities and evaluating their impact.
Day 3: Reporting and Follow-up
- Reporting on audit findings: developing a report on the audit findings, including recommendations for improvement.
- Follow-up on audit findings: evaluating corrective action taken by the organization.
- Reviewing audit reports: identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Day 4: Advanced Auditing Techniques
- Advanced auditing techniques: using data analysis and statistical methods to evaluate performance.
- Using auditing software to support the audit process.
- Best practices for auditing in complex environments.
Prerequisites:
- Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety management systems (OHSMS).
- Familiarity with auditing principles and best practices.
- Completion of a basic auditor training course is recommended but not mandatory.
Assessment:
- Participants will be assessed through a combination of written exams, group discussions, and practical exercises.
- A final exam will be held at the end of the course.
Certification:
- Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded a certificate as a certified ISO 45001 OHSMS Lead Auditor.
- The certificate is valid for three years from the date of issuance.
